Description

The bear population is high. There is a lot of color phase variation. These hunts are awesome. The country is beautiful and rugged. These outfitters hunt bears the same way they hunt elk. Hunter can expect to hike and to get up high on the ridges and spend hours glassing. These are purely spot and stalk hunts. On average hunters can expect to see 1-2 bears a day. This hunt takes place on 22,000 private acres. This is a 2:1 fully guided 5-day hunt. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt and to add additional hunting days. Passing a free Black Bear Identification course is required to be eligible to purchase a license. Additional license cost applies for archery hunters.

      • Price: $4,950.00

      A Black Bear License purchased after April 14 may not be used until 24 hours after the license is issued. Bear license not included in the hunt price. Non-resident licenses are roughly $350.00. A required base hunting license (appx. $15) and conservation license (appx. $10) are additional costs to purchasing a bear license if these have not already been purchased with any other big game licenses. An additional bow and arrow license (appx. $10) is required if archery hunting. Hunts are conducted on a Monday-Friday.

      Refund Policy:

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Description

      Spot and stalk black bears in the beautiful, rugged mountains of Montana. This area has a large population of bears with about 40% color phase. This is a 2:1 fully guided 5 day hunt. Hunters will be staying in lodging on the property. Each day hunters will hike to glass points and once a desired bear is spotted the stalk will begin. Hunters need to be prepared for some heavy hiking depending on where the bear is located. There are a lot of bears on this private ranch, as the hunter can expect to see 1-2 bears a day. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt or to add an additional hunting day can be arranged.

      Hunter should be prepared for moderate hiking in this hunt. This is purely a spot and stalk hunt. Long days in the field and hiking to a high vantage points to glass. Depending on where the bear is located could require a lot of hard hiking in some steep terrain.


      Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

      Final flight destination is Great Falls, Montana. Outfitter will arrange for pick up of clients at the airport or hunters can rent a car if desired. Camp is located roughly 1 hour from the airport.

      Description

      This is a western mountain hunt that is base from a lodge and wall tent camp. You will leave each day to spot and stalk bear as the feed and work grass meadows. Layering systems and quality rain gear is a must. Heavy hiking can be a parent of the adventure is you see a bear you like and distance needs to be covered.
