This is an incredible opportunity to hunt the majestic Rocky Mountain Bighorn in the mountains of Alberta. This is a 1:1 fully guided 10 day hunt. This outfitter organizes 4 hunts a year for bighorn. Mature rams are targeted, but hunter can expect to take a ram 155" or bigger. Hunter will stay in a wall tent with a field kitchen for most of the hunt, but in some cases a spike camp will be needed to close the distance on mature rams.

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunter will be taken in on horseback to base camp. Horses will be utilized for the his hunt, but hunter must also be prepared for some heavy hiking once mature rams are spotted.

Hunter will stay most likely stay in a nice wall tent (have their own) with a generator for most of this hunt. Sometimes a spike camp is needed in which hunter will stay in a backpacking tent for a few days to close the distance on mature rams.

Hunter can expect a nice field kitchen while staying in the wall tent base camp. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes. If a backcountry spike camp is needed, hunter will be served Peak Refuel and Mountain House style dehydrated meals.

Outfitter will supply horses for this hunt, but hunter must be prepared for steep and heavy hiking. Hunter will be expected to hike 1-2 miles a day in steep country. Hunter should be prepared to spend a lot of time in the saddle and previous saddle time is advised. It will be 12 mile ride in to base camp.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final flight destination city is Calgary. Outfitter will pick up and transport client from the airport before and after the hunt. If hunter chooses or has a late flight, a night in Calgary may be needed on hunter's expense.

Hunter should be prepared for all weather conditions on this hunt. The pack in will be a 12 mile ride in and out. Hunter should be prepared with some previous saddle time for this hunt. Mountains are very steep and terrain will be challenging. Outfitter will supply a wall tent at the base camp, but in some cases a spike camp will be needed and hunter will stay in a base camp with a backpack tent. Hunter will need all basic equipment for a traditional backcountry sheep hunt. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
