Description

Once you draw that Wyoming Bighorn Sheep tag in areas 1-5, we have you covered! Hunt with an outfitter who has 20 plus years experience guiding and outfitting. Sheep hunts is their passion and specialty. To date, their guides have gone 180/181 on their Wyoming sheep hunts. This outfit has spent a lot of time in all five areas. They know the country and sheep well for the places they take hunters. That gives them the confidence to provide a quality hunt in any of the five areas. They strive to do their very best for the clients. Their goal is that every hunter they guide is proud of the ram that they harvest. Many of their sheep hunts consist of us using their mountain savvy horses and mules to pack into the beautiful backcountry of Northwest Wyoming. They provide all of the gear for the hunters minus their own personal effects and gear. They believe in having a comfortable camp and a fun backcountry experience. Their number one goal is that the hunter harvests a ram he/she is proud of, but they also want to provide a good time and a great memory. This is a 10 day fully guided horseback sheep hunt. Hunter will have 1-2 guides on this hunt. Option to a bring a non-hunter is at no cost, but Outfitter asks you take care of his guides/cooks with gratuity. Option for additional days of hunting.

Once rams are spotted, hunter will have some heavy hiking to close the distance to make a good shot on a ram. Hunter can expect a lot of vertical gain and descent in some steep and rocky country. Better physically fit will provide better shot opportunity.

Final destination city is Cody, Wyoming. Outfitter will pick up and drop off hunters at the local airport. Base is Outfitters home which is close to the airport. Hunter may also choose to come in a day or two early, but then hotel must be hunter provided.

    Description

The sheep season will run into late October, but most prefer to hunt early in September when the weather is nicer. Sheep live at high elevations, so hunter must be prepared for a quick change of weather. Snow may be present. Hunter needs to be prepared with good rain/wind gear, along with durable and comfortable hiking boots for steep and rocky terrain. Outfitter will supply accommodations in the form of a teepee or dome tent. Hunter will need to bring their own sleeping bag and pad. All field transportation will be provided by horseback. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
